How??

It's is differnt hardware isn't it? Hense why you cant run windows on a mac.

Im currently on my Apple 14" iBook G4. But use my Windows machine: Athlon xp 2600+ 1024mb DDR ram, Gforce 2 mx 440 for playing Counter Strike. :D

Apple are moving from Motorola PPC chips like the one's in current M/C's, to Intel chips. To the end user there won't be any difference (perhaps faster Mac's) but software developers need to be able to get their apps running on the new hardware. For this reason Apple have released an early version of OS X to developers that runs on generic PC hardware.

It's generally accepted that when the new Mac's arrive the OS will be 'secured' so that it won't run on anything but a Mac. It's also thought that these new Mac's will be able to dual-boot in Windows; negating the need for a seperate games, CAD etc M/C.

There is a Mac Expo beginning today & it's rumoured that these new Mac's will be officially announced there.
