Has Anyone ever used Alloy Gator rim protectors?

 

I have just kerb'd one of my alloys so i thought i would have look in to alloy protectors 

 

I thought they were quite expensive but i am wondering if they are worth the money

I looked into this briefly and read they are just so-so and decided against them. Also read about them being difficult or very hard to get alignment done if fitted.
