Been back to my friendly dealer today and been offered this deal. Ex-Demo (it's only a week old and done 400mls!!) new Octy II vRS with 18"Alloys, Jumbo Box, Dual Climate in Black Magic Paint for

What would be the list price for this specification?

More important....What would be the wait for an ordered one?

I wonder if anyone (not a dealer) actually owns one yet?

List price including all the extra's listed would be approximately

I don't think you will be able to pick up the car until April/May. It will still be used as a Demo Until then.Think of all the Testers ( like me Tommorrow ) who just might thrash it.....I once offered to buy a " Demo " but couldn't have it for 3 months........It's somthing to do with Dealer Tax or somthing............So I've been told

depending on how long you will have to wait, deal.

if not put me on it and I'll take it for that price ;)

Thought dealers had to keep there demos for 3/4 months aswell.

Yes officialy dealers are meant to keep demo's for three months - however they may let you have the car for a 3 month roadtest  and then complete the paperwork. ;)

Rule of thumb, as soon as the car leaves the dealership you lose the VAT, so you ideally need the discount for a demo to be worth at least that, as it is in effect a 2nd hand car.

So 17.5% of £18500 is £2755 so personally, I wouldn't pay more than £15745.

All depends on what they will give you for yours it may be a reduced value.

I agree - depends what they offer you for your lovely (nearly new IIRC) one. ;)

Plus I would be suprised if a dealer would sell a demo so soon,it may be some time before they will receive there next demo.

They may use you to order a "customer" car which in actual fact would be there next demo -- this would allow them to have a better specced and different colour demo to the other dealers.

My octy vRS was going to be the dealer demo, I bought it before they had even registered it. They had only had a few days, and a week later it was mine. Hence why I had one of the 1st in the UK apart from the press cars.

What did they offer for yours Steve??

It's a little surprising that they want to shift the demo car already, perhaps they need the business.

There's a New Octy vRS on Autotrader, all the pictures are on there, Black, 18's and so on. Delivery March sometime, can't remember the price but it's obviously the garages demo that they are trying to get a firm buyer for.

On the Skoda Used Car Section, Look in cars arriving shortly, New octy vRS £17.2k

My Local Dealer hasn't sold one!!!!!! So Trade might be slow!!!!

So 17.5% of

Actually, 17.5 % of
Actually, 17.5 % of
Actually he is right if you want to subtract the VAT element you only subtract 15%.

Not sure who you're saying is right.....

But 17.5 % of 18500 = 18500/100 * 17.5 = 3237.5.

Vat is calculated as 17.5 % of the EX VAT price. Thus the VAT inclusive price you pay is 117.5% of the original price.

Say i buy something for
