Tyres

Featured Replies

Hi all , I'm looking at getting a pair of tyres for my vrs .. Have done a bit of research ... I don't wanna pay silly money either . Was looking at barum bravias 3 . Anyone used them or got and comments ...

Regards Tony

I ran their predecessor the Bravuris 2 on my vRS for a couple of years and really rated them.

They were progressive and gave surprisingly good grid, especially in wet weather.

Maybe worth a punt then for what they cost

Thanks

I have Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance tyres on my 1.9 pd100 estate, they handle well, especially in the wet and only cost £200ish

Different size tyres I guess

Apologies, didn't spot you had a VRS, I've got 15" wheels so tyres are a bit cheaper

Had the barums too on my old vRS, were very good. I also had hankook ones there were also very good.

Avon v5 were another good tyre that didn't break the bank.

I think at £88 a pair delivered it's worth a punt.. Thanks all

Hankook EVO2 V12 mate. 60-70 a tyre on mytyres (not fitted but my local does a price match, so I'm talking 80 a corner). Great tyres wet and dry, been running them for ages after trying loads of different ones over the years. Sticking with these now.

Yep I'll vouch for the hankooks also.

I'm running a full set of barum bravuris 3's, they seem to grip enough and run nicely I'd recommend them

What's the cabin noise like ??

The Barums were also recommended over in the Octavia mk1 section btw, is a write up somewhere.
