Watching this thread with a lot of interest!!

Looking to take my 1.8t back out my Fabia and put the internals etc in, don't think I'll be putting it in the dishwasher though!!!!

Out of interest what is the boot area like on the 4x4? does it not have a wheel well because of the diff? be interested to know for the future ;)

hey, yes the spare wheel is back from the diff, i had to reshape the spare wheel area to allow for the 22mm r32 st arb, but the spare wheel still fits

One of the reasons I like mine is because it doesn't look that exciting from the outside but it's got all the goodies under it!

Some of the things you have done to yours are what I would like to do to mine but it's just getting round to it!

Out of interest what suspension are you running? The 4x4 is bit of an oddball from what I have found!

I want to upgrade my arb's but not sure what to get? I think standard R32.

I've got 312 front calipers to go on just waiting for some rears to come up.

I want to get mine mapped. The ones you have going free, what's the score in applying them and are there any other associated parts I would need?

Cheers Si.

Sorry not been on in a while , ap coil overs , and r32 St anti roll bar sets . Think just a general overhaul on the chassis and Polly bush makes a huge difference. All my bonded rubber bushes were trashed . Tt subframes and parts bolt straight on

Where about do you live ? If you want to map it buy an MPPs v13 cable . And could email the file , if you pm me

Hi grizzle,

clipped turbine . you can see the A/R is a good bit bigger on the k04 cover so that is why i went with that and got an elbow welded on it and press fitted a bigger TIP adapter of 58mm the CMS hybrid pipe still fits over it ok

so the last time the turbo had a thrust washer failure, this was with the 49/55 turbine and 47.5/60 compressor wheel and k04 cover and up rated waste gate

Looks good. I have fitted springs anti-roll bar and RS4 reps to mine last week. Need to get some pictures up and look at copying your turbo upgrade!

Do you have any issues with the creation motorsport TIP?

Mine is dented from the shifter cables, not enough to cause a massive issue, but ideally like it to be straight.

Just reread your original post, how much did you cut off the turbo side? I didn't want to as there isn't much room on the lip of the turbo.

hi

i cut off a fair amount to clear the 6 speed selector cable it still touches a little but not anywhere near as much as it would have. do you have the hybrid cms pipe with the 51mm ? iv loaded the pictures for you to get an idea. the k04 turbo are a good bit away from the selectors so they can run the whale penis pipe, if thats what its called.......

IMG_20171019_193941.jpg

when i ran the 47.5 compressor wheel on the standard 51mm tip cover i made up an anti crush stainless steel sleeve for over it so it would not crush it with the pipe clamp and that worked fine silicone in place. i still have it around somewhere if someone wants to have it for a small donation

iv messed around with this turbo so much now that the best way engine in is probably from the top iv done it a good few ways now. although its tricky bolting down the exhaust manifold but its much better than subframe transferbox ect, and a sore neck with axle stands

Yeah let us know. I have aBBT K300 so ive got the ko4 oversized one i think. Im having to pull the engine out as my crank seal is leaking so ideal time to sort it. Drop us a message if you find it

do you have the the k03 cover with the 51mm that BBT developed or do you have the k04 cover with the k03 elbow welded on it ?

yes mine started leaking using the rubber type seal, then i put back on the oem Teflon seal with the proper installation tool and all has been perfect with that seal on the crank pully side

this is the wheel i used on my k04 the last time without having to sleeve, using the anti crush over-sleeve... iv found it
