with a remapped vrs you don't get whooped but also you dont do any whooping but you keep with and impress the above list...

i feel a vr6 golf/corrado would have the edge on a standard octavia im talking 0.5 secs not by miles...when i race my mates vr6 at pod in my remapped octy its close until i get to 60 then i start to leave him...

I notice the Octavia vRS isn't on that list. It's hard to compare because I notice that the figures quoted don't match the "official figures". The Audi TT 225 for example is shown as 6.4 whereas the official figure is 6.7. The TT 180 is shown as 6.7 but IIRC 7.4 is more like it.

According to the stats the TT would have you - just - but I think part of that's down to better traction off the line due to the quattro system - with a rolling start it would be quite close. Plus the TT would have had to change up to 3rd gear to hit 60, whereas you'd still be in 2nd. For the average driver that extra gearchange might cost 0.5-1 second ? So I reckon you've a decent chance of beating a 180 bhp TT - I took a few on when I had the Skud and never embarrassed myself. The 225 is a bit quicker and has more torque so probably not.

The Octy vRS must be a fair bit quicker than a 180 bhp TT.... I've absolutely demolished a couple of those who decided to try their luck with me in my 182

It probably could - My Clio, if anything, seems ever so slightly quicker than a 225 TT.... they are just sooooo heavy (about 1600 kg IIRC) and the 4WD saps power.... as I said before, the 180 is just no comparison.
