I searched the site for this topic but found only cryptic answers.

 

I have a Octavia 1.6 TDI with the DQ200 7 speed DSG box.

 

I have been thinking about getting a remap for it, gaining some extra 50ish nm torque but after a bit of reading i found out that the gearbox is conveniently rated for 250nm, the exact output of the engine.

 

Has anyone here had experience remapping/tuning cars with this gearbox ? Wondering if this 250nm is the actual limit of the gearbox or if i can risk taking it up to 300nm.

I'd look into the issues with the gearbox and early failure before you consider a remap.

I know of 1.4TSI's running 200 bhp and 325Nm through the DQ250 without any problems

DQ250 is rated for 350 nm, right ?

DQ250 is rated for 400NM, although some sites state is 350NM.

TMWNA probably ment the DQ200.

Even though it's rated for 400nm, doesn't it have a torque limiter in 1st, 2nd and 3rd anyway? Sure I heard that somewhere...alothough happy to be corrected!

Done Economy map on my 1.6 Tdi 105. Took it up to around 122bhp but much better low down torque. Massive difference
