If this works I dont see any reason why would anyone care for speed cameras? I guess this probably doesn't work but are there any experiences? In here we dont have speed cameras but we have normal cameras on some streets so if you run away from cops they come to your house tomorrow if you are recorded.

The real fun will start when you try to refuel - a lot of automated numberplate recognition systems out there and if it doesn't work you may end up blacklisted. Not a great idea IMHO.

Legalities then - I dunno if it's illegal in the UK, but on the continent it probably is, they come down pretty hard on stuff like this including radar and laser jammers generally.

Once saw something similar on a Merc on the M25. trouble was it blocks out all light from headlights or street lights as well. So in the dark when lights are on it it is unreadable - just a mass of black. So nice and unobtrusive, unless of course you drive at night doh .........

you can buy the number plate spray over in ireland over the counter,its not ilegal to buy but is to use!!! only they cant tell its on the plate until you go through a speed camara....so really theres no way of them knowing without taking your plate off the car and testing it!!!

I seem to remember something in the highway code about making sure you number plate is viewable at all times, for example clean, so people driving round with numberplates caked with mud are in the wrong IIRC.

it all fits into the same area that the number plate has to be readable at all time displayed correctly etc etc.

Anyway why would you want to obscure your number plate anyway as I am sure you don't speed

Mil that maybe the case but it illegal to use in this in the UK, and to be honest using this is giving the signal that you think it is OK to speed and not get caught :thumbdwn:

Im happy to live in country where radar and laser jammers are legal so this definitely is legal. Still we have no speed cameras but i would like to know that they cannot record me on their traffic control cameras. I'm not saying that i would run away from police but i like my privacy

This is in their terms and conditions

"Due to stringent restrictions of trade placed upon the 'Company' by the DVLA, all registration plates, legal or otherwise will be sold to the 'Purchaser' on the basis of being for show use only and the 'Purchaser' may risk prosecution if the registration plates are used on the UK highway"

So if you are caught on the UK Highway with this you will face prosecution and if the person is stupid enough to use them I hope they get prosecuted.

The only way to stop getting flashed by the camera is not to speed.
