Yeti vibration

Featured Replies

Got an annoying vibration on my Yeti 2013 2L TDI. Only happens between 10 and 15 revs.

Any ideas

The engine in my car won't run below 800rpm!

10k to15k rpm? no, I'm on my second Yeti and have had no vibration problems.

That is a tickover range and possibly a little low for tickover?

No, though I'd love to see any 4pot Skoda Yeti production car engine do 15000 rpm and last longer than 5 mins, I guess the OP was meaning 1000 - 1500 RPM

:p

:D We got there in the end.

Kevin is this vibration while the car is being driven or just at standstill ?

Thats what happens when you ain't paying attention, sorry, yes 1,500 to 2,000

You don't say which BHP you have. I had similar with my 110 but never with my 140.

It's called labouring...

Vibration at 1000 t0 1500 rpm and happens both when idling and driving but only at those revs.

Mine's started doing it as well, think it could be the duel mass at it has a bit of a rattle..

Mine does this; it is the engine cover. Take it off (it pops off at each corner) and give it a shake. Mine rattles. When on the engine and running, if I lean on the cover the noise stops.

Mine idles around 800 unless doing region. When driving I don't go below 1200 as it is a bit rough at that rpm, smooths out up to 2000.

Regen that should have been.

I had a vibration when idling on my Yeti 2012 1.2 tsi and when it went in to get looked at it was the front undertray that had not been refitted correctly. Once refitted correctly the vibration disappeared..

Kevin has not visited Briskoda since December 2016, so he's unlikely to read this
