Does My 04' Octavia Have Cruise Control

Featured Replies

Hello to everyone. Im new here. I have bought a 2004 Octavia Combi Ambiente.

There is cruise control buttons on the left ı put it into ON position and Press SET button when Im driving over 40mph.But it just doesnt work.

İt is a BFQ motor code and has electronic throttle body.

I hear a clicking sound when ı put my foot on clutch .

Do you have any suggestions?

From what you say, the CC control stalk has been fitted; that doesn't mean that it's been correctly enabled in software though.

When I got my MK1 vRS with cruise I thought it didn't work as no light illuminated on the dash to show cruise selected, every other car I'd had with cruise did this. But with fiddling with the stalk buttons I eventually got it to work. I had a Laguna where an ECU update knocked out the programming for the cruise. Just needed re-enabling. Probably doable with VCDS ?

Thanks a lot . So I need to check whether it is enabled softwarely.

Yes , if the stalk is fitted and fettling it doesn't work !

As above - also check the operation of the brake and clutch pedal switches and the switches on the stalk itself. I think it's all do-able with VCDS.
