Parts from VW Jetta onto 2012 Skoda Octavia 1Z

Featured Replies

I'm about to buy some parts online for my Skoda Octavia on ECSTuning since I'm in the US right now and will be travelling back to India with these parts, do you guys mind taking a look at the links and telling me if they would fit a 2012 Skoda Octavia 1Z 1.8 TSI or not?

1.  Maybe / probably.  That's just their house brand. look also at Goodrich and HEL

2.  Again, maybe.  The lower bush changed in about 2009.  I wouldn't fit that anyway.  Too harsh.  You need something with a bit of compliance.  Buy a  polyeurethane kit and remove the bush, blank of one side and fill the voids instead.

3. Yes, if you have a manual transmission.  If you do have a manual then get the cable end inserts - they do more for shift feel.  Also the factory short shifter.

4. Don't know.  I've run lightweight pulleys before (on Subarus).  They make a small difference but you are better off spending money on a remap and a large intercooler.

5. Yes.  You'll probably find it cheaper on ebay australia as they are an Australian made & designed part.

6.  Probably.  You'll need the pipe between the IC and the inlet manifold as well.  They don't make a noticeable difference below ~3500rpm.  If you are running the factory IC then don't bother changing the charge /discharge pipes.  You are better off upgrading the IC and leaving the pipes stock.

7.  Yes.  You can do it a lot cheaper with Golf GTI or Jetta 2.0tsi turbo caliper carriers and plain 312mm rotors.  I'm not a fan of swiss cheese rotors unless you just want the look.
