Featured Replies

Not bought them for my Skoda yet but bought plenty of cheapo blades off eBay before for my daughters Corsa and the wifes wee Picanto and they've been excellent for the price, £5 or £6 for the year and get a new set, how can you go wrong..?

Had Kia's since 2007, Cee'd SW, can't fault them for reliability but it's certainly a huge jump in class to move up to the Octavia, really liked them since the Mk2 FL, and in all honesty wouldn't have been able to change but for the £2500 discount  to cover my negative equity.

Loving the new MK3 VRS Diesel, and hopefully trouble free for at least 42 months :sun:

Cheers

I will be slated for this by the detailing guys... I use the halfords berry wash but alsonadd a small squirt of washing-up liquid as well. Helps significantly in cutting through the grease on the screen.

However I am aware of what it can do to the paint and waxes... Although I only use a small amount

Been there, done that. I ended up buying new proper Bosch ones after 6mths as theyf split or smear or squeak or just not clean.

I remember when Valeo used to be a brand to go buy instead but recently gone down hill.

The Michelin ones weren't bad from Costco but didnt wear as well.

I got that same story from my dealer when they wanted to charge me for a new rear wash fan. They couldn't unblock it and blamed it on hard water. I have used water once when I ran out and no access to screenwash. Aside from the fact that its a pretty bad design if the system can't cope with tap water, like EVERY other car I've owned before this on, just beware. They'll probably shoulder the blame. Mind you, the assembly is only four quid.

Or go to your local TPS and buy it an even smaller price. As I said I paid £4.79 for 5l of that direct

Not all TPS sell to the public? as my local TPS won't!  :envy: I have no choice but to buy it from ebay

Noticed today, when I got back from oop t'north, that the Skoda stuff s now in 1 litre translucent whiteish bottles - my previous stuff (from Meaden's at Sway) was in grey ½ litre bottles latterly becoming ½ litre translucent bottles as above. Perhaps we'll get the 5/10 litre container eventually.

^^^ THIS.

Sorry Offski but the truth always conquers all.

Sorry if i fail to understand, are you saying that Yellow Prestone is good stuff?

Truth is my truth for me i think it is not. My truth & i see quite a lot of low temperatures and buy & use gallons of Winter Screen Wash.

I have some of the stuff sitting now, but it would not go in any of my washer bottles.

It is -10 4 litres 'ready to use', not the -23 though.

You get to know what works and works well for your needs, truth.

EDIT,

I will pick up some -23 Prestone Extreme Performance later on and see how it is.

Worth a try.
