  • The car will sell. I've been on car forums for years and years. Every time a new model comes out, bet it brand new or facelift, it gets slated. Then shock horror a few months down the line everyone ha

  • I wont be buying one. Front end really does look dire. Why get another Octy when my current one looks better?   Yes I slated the new XF when it came out, as the interior wasnt that special, and yes

  • Another thought though - I bet they get the most vehicles in Movember :D

Utterly gash front, the lights are a mistake.

Its better looking than the mk3, im not sure about the lights though.

Hate the lights and grill.

Nope, still not sold on the new front end

I think the new front-end design is aimed more at the Asian market, where the "lights to the grill" effect seems popular. To my eyes the lights make the car look rather soft/bland.

The cars is ruined. Buy buy sails! After this Superb is going to profit.

Lots of waffle about sporting heritage and brand tradition.

Very little news/details

The looks are growing on me - slowly.

What's going on with that crappy mid-section on the grill, it's like a badge should be there but some Czech-scally has nicked it

Nope. Sorry. The new design on the lights totally trashed the whole glass theme they were building it on. Unless they are going for the medieval castle window leaded class.

Bit of heraldry for the gap on the grill and we're sorted!

Has Trump got a flag yet? I reckon along with Asia they will be in the US in a few years, maybe the next one, car or president ;). I don't think the US has connected Skoda to VW. Watching the US channels, well listening to them, whenever the topic comes up it's always how VW and Audi will suffer... But then is the car big enough :D

front lights look terrible i think most people agree with that, but looking at the rs the rear wheels sit much further out in the arches thats a definate inprovement looks much more squat.

Although, it is a facelift ;) I don't buy the @27min link to the older models... again they have sold the design on lines and angles. The superb they raved about  the double/tripple bent panels...

Why does no one ever open the bonnet anymore :)

Its not just the front, the rear lights inside have changed shape and this alone would be enough for me. If I purchased just before the facelift and accidentally got the facelift version I would shoot myself.

So, am I the only one thinking what parts do we need to change to get the same wider rear tracking as on the facelift? :)

...Or is it known already?

No you're not.

15mm spacers on the rear axle?

No you're not.

15mm spacers on the rear axle?

That is what I was going for, but there is the issue of them not being legal (having to take them off before inspection) and also the safety issue - I have seen quite a few spacers/wheel bolts break on the track, even when well done.

For the facelift, it seems the car now comes stock with a wider track (they even advertise it) so I assume it will have some new suspension setup and some new hubs/geometry on the rear.

More money to spend, but I guess that I will go for it at some point.

Yep.

We have to wait and see what part numbers have changed on the rear suspension.

Was the wider rear axle only on Petrol vRS or on all the models?

They moved the ACC radar, probably because the sensor in its old place would cover up easily during winter, me myself gets this problem often in Norway when it is snowing heavily.
