SE Technology lease deal availability

Featured Replies

Does anyone who watches the lease deals regularly know if they historically change much when new rates come out? Has Brexit already been taken in to account in the last rate changes?

The reason I ask is that I've started to look for the replacement for my Octavia Scout when the lease ends in June. The Superb SE Technology looks amazing VFM so I enquired about delivery times to sync with handing the Octavia back. The quote I was given was £25 P/M more that the headline offer - £664 over 2 years to order this far out. If I wait to order closer to the time I was told the new lease rates are release on 23rd Jan and prices could go up or down. Assuming a 3 month wait if I order now I'd have a 2 month overlap between leases, any increase over £16 p/m in the lease would be more than the overlap cost.

I managed to get a lease authorised around the time of the No ember price rise. I was told that the cost rise was around £800 oanf n an SE Technology and this would be passed on in full. I assumed that to be £800 devided by 36 month.

There is very little (if any) discounting on the SE Technology as the car is sold specifically aimed at the business lease market and already has the discount applied in the form of extras.

Are you leasing with Skoda direct or through another agent such as Lex and what length of lease and mileage are you looking for? I found Skoda to be cheaper by quite a large margin.

Not sure but they do change regularly, bit of a gamble but I'd assume the road tax changes and brexit will only push leases up. If the pch is with VWFS I'd have thought they'd hold off delivery of your new car until your existing lease ends.

Leasing with Skoda direct, brokers don't appear to be competitive for Skoda. Different dealer to current lease.

It makes no sense to take the dealer offer for ordering now so it's just whether to order on 22nd or take a gamble that the price wont go up too much.

I managed to get an order in just a day before the November price rise with a Skoda dealer for a 2.0 dsg tech, it was £209 inv vat pm with 6m advanced payment, a day later and it was about £40 pm more, still good price. Everything leased has gone up and I couldn't find anything to give me 2 years of use for £6k. Makes no sense to buy as it will depreciate more than that in 2 years.

I'm handing my current car back early as the agreed mileage is reached and they'll accept 50% of the remaining payments ex vat, it works out the same as the excess mileage charge so handing back early cost no extra.

If you are leasing then traditionally prices are set quarterly, so we are now in Jan to Mar prices. There might be a little bit of variation if dealers have special offers but generally they don't move, but the next jump up or down will be April. With interest rates low I don't think Brexit has had that much impact.....yet. Just had a quick look and I can see an offer on a Superb SE 2.0 on a 2 year deal which is £211 inc vat with a £634 deposit on 8k miles, total of £5487, bumping it up to 10k wouldn't add much. I've always found going through a broker gets the best offers, talking to dealers usually gets you nowhere.

I've always found Dealers better for VAG cars. I've got an offer of £600 + £200pm for 8k miles, 2 years if I order now for delivery as soon as ready. Quite a bit more if I want delivery later.

Not much in it, but then over 2 years that's £287 in yer pocket, nice low deposit too.

If that includes VAT it's a good offer. Mine is the SE Business model which I took last year and the SE Technology is the replacement I think, if you are thinking of going ahead with it then consider the DSG if you haven't already, it's the one thing I regret on mine. Once you have experienced the adaptive cruise control you realise DSG is a must.

I can see lots of prices around £263 on a comparison website I use for a similar deal, but this will make you smile....one for a SE Technology estate at £506 per month with a deposit of £1953!

As per the Kodiaq topic on leasing, we as a community have options. I've begun to explore the PCH and BCH side of them in 2017. We already had cash and fiance offers in play from a few dealers over 2016.

If you're interested,  I can ask for figures, let me know mileage, term, so 3  up front payments and number of months along with the car and any options.

e.g.

10k pa on 3+23 Octavia Estate - SE-Tech - 1.6 TDI 110PS 5G Manual

I'll ask the dealer and see where we're at.

lol or superb... sorry was reading a octavia spec sheet...  or a superb ;) https://cars.briskoda.net/skoda/25

For example:

Superb 2.0 TDI SE Tech hatch manual:

3+23, 10k @ £205.05 +VAT
6+23, 10k @ £193.06 +VAT
