Sat Nav & POI

Featured Replies

Hi,

I've spent the weekend reading every thread I could find on the subject but still no luck.   I have an Octavia VRS Nav.  Its a 65 plate, 2015 build (uk spec euro import).

I'm fairly sure my nav/entertainment unit is a columbus nav pro, but I'm not 100% sure and not sure how to be 100%.

Assuming I have the unit correctly identified, I've been trying to get POIs loaded on it (speed camera, certain fuel stations and a few other bits and bobs I'd like).   I've been through creating the zip file from the German site and putting it on an SD car.  But no matter what I do, what combination I try (have tried other columbus units), it always fails to recognise the update/data.

I've tried doing it via a system update, and from the memory management option -->  update my POI.

I know I could create a vCard for all points I want and import manually, but I would like to cover all of South Wales and the South West of England (my normal travel area), so doing a separate vCard doesn't seem a practical way to solve things.

Any help gratefully received as I'm at my wits end.

Matt

Have a look at this thread, it may, or may not, help you.
