Hi All

 

I have issue with volumes being the same from medium to high for mu columbus for everything, ipod, bluetooth, radio. only when i reset the unit holding the power button down till it restarts I get full volume again .

 

to enjoy full volume on my colombus i need to do that almost everytime.  Any suggestions?

Got to the bottom of this and found a solution.

 

did a firmware update form 390 to Mib1 firmware version 0409. Finally can listen to better base and higher volumes.

 

 

Where did you get the firmware updates from?

As you found, the original firmware for the MIB1Columbus has compression active which can do horrible things to the sound when trying to listen above 50% volume.

I had the same firmware update (by the main dealer) for another reason and the sound quality at higher volumes is much better.
