Rear clear plastic fenders on the bodywork

Featured Replies

We had a car drive into the side of our Yeti recently while it was stationary and had to have a new door and a re spray to blend in with the original colour.

After a couple of months I noticed that suddenly we have small chips of paint coming off the rear offside bodywork in front of the wheel by the rear door.

Then realised the repair company had taken off the clear plastic paint protector and not replaced it having seen the kerbside in perfect condition with it still stuck on.

Anybody know where I can purchase another plastic fender protector for the offside rear where the re spray company left off or could not be bothered to replace it?

Yeti now done 85,500 miles and the kerbside is undamaged from flying stones and winter grit.

Many thanks

Chris

Would it not be a skoda oem part?

I'd suggest the dealers

Go back to the company who did the repair. They should have repaired the car to its original condition with all parts required.

they should pay for it too, as it is their **** up

As CFB above says, the repairer should have put the foils on. They should now make the paintwork good before putting them on!

The Skoda part number is 5L0807906C for around £20 , but as has been said above , the repairer should have fitted this when they did the original repair .

Thanks chaps will try to contact the accident repair centre Ltd in Dereham that was enforced up on us by the insurance company as it was miles away from where we live near Norwich and if I can't get anywhere then it will have to be a pay out item from the local Skoda Dealer for £20.00 plus VAT etc.

Never thought of carefully looking at that particular area until the paint chips appeared on the bodywork as it is the wife's car for work every day.

I understand they are tricky to fit ......so perhaps that is why they 'forgot'
