Drivers door flashing light when lock

Featured Replies

Hi all....

reading in the owners guide, when the car is locked the little led in the door flashes and apparently if it stays lit for 30 seconds then there is a fault ....mine does .....everything locks fine ......but does anyone know if there is a common fault that's easily fixed that causes the led to stay lit for 30 seconds before doing the steady flash????

The alarm battery housed under the front driver's wheel arch has a limited life around 6 years before it needs changing.

Or it could be the ultrasonic part in the compartment in front of the interior mirror is faulty or dirty.

There are historic posts about this.

Both are an easy fix as they are plug and play.

Many thx

When mine did this last year I popped the ultrasonic unit down and cleaned it - solved the problem so far.
