Another blank cheque arrives, which car...

would you buy with one caveat:

Which car would you buy; money no issue,  with a maximum BHP of your current age?

So you're 40, you can have any car so long as the power isn't above 40bhp. By my maths this should throw some interesting older choices that are not poster cars ;)

Prizes to those who can post the same car from the previous topic :) to this one ( posts made before this started  )

This will be an easier challenge for some and a bit of a stinker for a few. Enjoy.

This is the illogical follow; I was going to go with a mash up of new car into your pick from this topic:

Being as you haven't specified how long we have to keep it, Colin.

I would source the most sought after model that had a huge price tag..................................And then sell it to the highest bidder. ;)

Is my cheque in the post, by any chance?      Lol.

I'm starting to think this combined with the other thread is just social engineering to get people's birthdays out of them. :)

Is the next thread going to be 'What car would you buy with the restriction that it was driven by someone famous who shares your mother's maiden name?'

I win - I posted original Austin 7 in the other post so can post it again here...  7.2 or 10.5 hp...

As I am a Time Lord it seems I am at a bit of an advantage with this, don't tell anybody. A car with many horsepowers.

Morris Minor 1000.

Now, how long do I have to keep it before I can start modifying it? ;)

heheh I hadn't thought of a part 3...  maybe a with whats left of years - bhp from this one and another fortunate blank cheque [you'd need it I think]  ;)  pick the next car for your fleet... and I'm with @Aspman on <10hp then...

Just thought some cerebral car related challenges with a slight twist to the latest and greatest. As to the @Laurie61; sorry my Lord, choice, as I discussed with my 10year old niece; on a chilly day, who is adamant time travel hasn't been invented; but open to the idea it's possible, QED it has then. We got ice cream to warm us up.

Nice to see some lateral concepts coming up too... this is going top cost me some legal time to draw up t&c's. :D

I a Renault 4 in the same colour of this, it was practical, comfortable, and a hoot to drive. I'd have another in a heartbeat

I'll go for one of these please :

media?id=7b51f5d68bc744ffba477f80b6cbad1

only 39 bhp apparently

I might be a while......29 isn't a good amount of bhp to have!

Subaru 360 - Coz' it's still a SOO-ba-ROOO, innit mate.... get me sum diamond doughnuts offa that thing in Maccy D's car park.

Apparently the Fiat Nuova 500 was quite fun for sub-30bhp and wouldn't make me look bad when parked next to my friend's Suzuki Swift!!

Dammit. the lowest powered Mini Cooper is the original 997cc...

with 1 BHP too many.

Well you could use my dads argument that when you're born you're 0 but it's your 1st year :D

It appears that this just about scrapes in. Whether I'd fit in it is another matter.

I think I'll squander all of my 38hp on a Saab 96:
