Where are Skoda / VW Assists Trained Technicians,

are they getting some well earned sleep in as VW Group have 20,000 TDI's a week in the UK getting The Fix done?

Skoda assist went straight to the AA. They had no-one available so said local breakdown co tonight or VW trained AA tech tomorrow

So it was a vag tech that came out. Three fault codes:

Engine control unit

electronic brake assist

adaptive cruise control

diagnosed as a faulty oil pressure switch. Replaced in 20 mins.

fingers crossed it's fixed it.

Did he/she clear all the fault codes? Even if you don't have any more problems I would definitely ask them to check codes again when you have it in for service.

Yep. The fault codes for the acc and brake assist were warnings that they'd been disabled due to the oil pressure switch fault so they all cleared when it was replaced.

it's in for a service in a few weeks so will make sure they check it again. Hopefully a one off.
