VCDS Lite OR ELM327

Hi everyone,

i'm thinking about buying a used Scoda Fabia or Octavia. The thing is, in my country (Bosnia) mileage correction is common. I was reading and googling to se how could I chek if the car was clocked.

As far as I understud VCDS is the best but also the most expensive solution. I was wondering if someone could help me and explain if it is possible to check real mileage with VCDS Lite or a ELM327 scanner?
