FL Octavia suspension

Featured Replies

Hi Folks,

does anyone driving a FL Qctavia has a feeling that suspension is a bit softer and more comfortable then with the pre FL model ?

Greetings !

FL queries  should be in the MkII forum.

Never heard of any differences in comfort with like- for -like suspension and wheels.

There is a pre-FL and FL MKIII too ;)

Ok, was not precise. I was thinking on MKIII FL 2017

So the FL Mk III has been delivered?

News to me and I'll look out for them.

Didn't imagine that the facelift involved major engineering changes.

Here in Belgrade they are already on the street, in traffic.

They have been released here in NZ also.

Sales staff from Garland Skoda (aldershot) have them as demo cars already

Maybe more of a mid life face lift but wouldn't be surprised if they had tried to adjust the suspension setup a bit, as the early mk 3 Octavia's had dreadful suspension on the whole, including my own 1.6TD Estate too. My new Yeti has far better suspension for comfort than the Octavia ever did, it soaks up far more of the lumps and bumps on the local roads, things which would have jarred my spine in the Octavia I hardly notice in the Yeti.

I had a chance of driving it for an a half hour thru city center, with several bumps and holes, it seem to me to be much softer than pre lift model... maybe I am wrong, personal feeling, you know.

Maybe it was a TSI? They are softer indeed comparing to TDI even in preFL.

No, this one was 1.6 TDI, Style equipment.

Valuable information. Thank you.
