Is this an anomaly I've stumbled across or normal?!

Featured Replies

I've been fully aware that you can't lock the car with the keyfob if the driver's door is open, but tonight I accidentally left the rear offside door open, locked it, and when it shut it THEN chirped and locked up. Had a test and it does the same with each of the other doors, just not the driver's door. Not a problem, just thought it wouldn't lock if ANY of the doors were open, so anyone any ideas why they would design it like that as it seems easy to lock yourself out accidentally if you clipped the fob button without realising? Seems more logical for all the doors to not allow you to lock up. Strange!

Normal...   So you can get out and lock whilst you passengers still have the doors open...   They shut the doors and it locks fully.

The boot is the most likely place to leave your keys if you are not careful imo, if you accidentally drop them without realising whilst getting your shopping out, for instance. Opened with the boot release.

Goodo, thanks. Didn't think it was an issue, just surprised it happened. :)
