Really wanna buy an octy vrs, is there anything I should look out for when hunting??

Hi Simon, welcome to Briskoda.

Nothing special to look out for really, just the usual checks you would make when buying 2nd hand cars, with the following additions.

1) Make sure coilpacks have all been changed from the dodgy "H" type to newer ones. If the car has main dealer FSH this may have been done.

2) If over 60K, has the cambelt been changed.

Dont be alarmed if you see examples that have only been serviced every 18-20K miles. The octy comes on variable servicing which can be upto 20K or 2years between services. It is possible to switch to fixed 10K servicing, this should be obvious from the service book.

Happy hunting.

There are loads of cheap high miler rep mobiles out there too. IMHO unless you want a modified car, stay away from re-maps as you don't butch a cars performance up to drive like miss daisy imho.
