Clicking from clutch pedal

Featured Replies

When I went out for about the fourth time today, I found I had a clicking noise when operating the clutch pedal. I happens when I start to get movement and also when I reach almost to the bottom of the travel and then again when I start to bring the pedal back up again.

I thought initially it was the pedal switch as it clicked at about the same position as the cruise control cuts out and then again at about the same position as the clutch warning display comes on when starting if you have not pressed the pedal enough.

Later investigations shows I can make the clicking at any pedal position when I change the direction of motion - just like a loose mounting but it is not that.

Anyone had this scenario or can guess what it is? Someone said it was the plastic guides on the return spring. any ideas?
