How did it go?

it went with a bad start....................for 1 second as I used my normal "shove in and thrust" technique but after 1 second of pulling the trigger it clicked off......

(yes i can imagine what is going to be said about this). So i decided to turn the nozzle to 2 o'clock and i filled up to 40.98p!

This is odd - I've never had a problem in the 12 months I've had a Fabia. My father got a Golf Plus TDI last week and it took him three attempts to get a meaningful amount of fuel into it. Last car I had problems filling up was a Vauxhall Nova. At the time £6 got you 1/3 of a tank!

You are using car pumps for the diesel and not lorry pumps, aren't you? (Lorry pumps have much bigger nozzles).

maybe I missed the turning for the Diesel station and carried on to the Lorry Depot!
