Hello all

My 2011 Superb SE TSI fuel filler flap doesn't lock when the car is locked. I don't know if it has always been like this or if it has stopped doing this recently. Is it supposed to lock when I lock the car or is there a valve that stops anyone syphoning the fuel and so it doesn't need to lock?

I would be grateful for you advice folks.

Thank you.

It is supposed to lock with the rest of the doors.

I'll have to look at mine but I'm assuming you can't see the locking pin slide back and forth if you lock/unlock the car with the flap open?

I encountered the same topic just my flap was not unlocking.

At one lucky moment when flap randomly unlocked I followed this video to take it apart.

Currently I have removed one plastic components that serves for locking/unlocking the flap and put everything back. Currently flap always stays unlocked, I have not decided yet how to deal with it. Probably I'll wait till next summer and then revisit this issue.
