Charge and Petrol Flaps

Featured Replies

Can anyone advise please?

Yesterday, as I was driving along, the 'check charging flap' message popped up. I stopped and checked the flap amd all seemed well. When I got home I went to pg the car in couldn't open the flap. After a lot of messing about I noticed that I couldn't open the petrol filler flap either. It's too much of a coincidence to think the two actuators have failed simultaneously. So, is there a fuse that might have blown? Or can anyone offer any other suggestions. This is getting quite urgent as I have some long journeys next week.

Does the Octavia have a feature to "purge" the vapour from the petrol system before it will allow you to open the charging cap?

On our last Mercedes, When you pull the release of the charging flap, you would need to wait 10-20s until it will release the flap.
