Footrest plate facelift automatic

Featured Replies

Hi folks,

Anyone have link to a official skoda footrest pedal for the facelift octavia? I have steel pedal covers, would like to complete the look. Dealer unsure of part number re facelift.

Thanks,

Mick

There wasn't one for RHD pre-facelift. Have you seen one on a RHD facelift?

Presumably the footrest will be the same as pre-facelift so if it is then I can definitely recommend this:

http://www.superskoda.com/Skoda/OCTAVIA-III/Octavia-III-RHD-VRS-designed-footrest-for-RHD-cars-MANUAL-TRANSMISSION

Great quality and completes the look with the pedals.

*Edit - ignore if you're LHD.

I think this is what I'm after?

That is the correct footrest for a pre-facelift LHD. Does your footrest look a similar shape?

No actually its this shape

Then you have RHD, so as per my first post your only real option is the Superskoda one. There is no official Skoda metal footrest for RHD.

The one you linked to looks like it's not completely level? That it had two slopes? Also the link says specifically for manual transmission? I assume you need to remove the existing footrest to fit?

Thanks,

There is only a variant of that footrest for Manual (i.e. it's slightly narrower on the right hand edge) but it does still fit a car with DSG. The stock DSG footrest is slightly wider than the stock manual footrest, because with a manual there is less room due to the clutch pedal.

Appreciate it's not a perfect solution, but unfortunately it is the only metal footrest that exists for a RHD Octavia MK3, so it depends on how much you want to complete the look in the footwell.

Yes you remove the existing one. It's one long screw removable from the right hand edge of the footrest and lifts up to clip out. Installation is a reverse of that process.

Ordered thank you. The screw for removing existing one. Where is the head for it?

Thanks for the help

Mick

If you look at the image you provided of the stock footrest, there is a hole towards the top of the right hand side of it. The screw is in there but sits deep within the hole. Can't remember what head it was, think it was torx.

Haven't measured the two directly, but a guesstimate says about half an inch

Fitted today. It's noticeably narrower than the original one but as you said that's due to extra pedal space in manual.. Happy with the look and its still wide enough

Thanks,

Mick

It is a shame there is no auto version that is that extra bit wider. Doesn't really bother me, I've had mine fitted for about a month and you get used to it. Looks a million times better :)

Can I ask your shoe size? I'm UK size 10.5 wide fitting so a wider plate would be nice but I agree the look wins

10 and fairly wide

I have size 14 feet and the foot rest works brilliant for me.

One point to note about the fitting on the manual footrest in the automatics is that you need a hammer (and cloth) to bang down the pedel firmly into the hooked slots otherwise the screw hole doesn't line up. The carpet on the Scout and VRS is a slightly thicker pile so needs more 'help' to seat itself.

Happy customer. I will be asking SuperSkoda to see if they can make further batches of RHS footrests....

I have the same 2019 Scout as you, can you tell me if you have added that Octavia decal I can see on the seat adjuster? Mine has not got that. Great car the Scout, is yours white?

Yes, another lovely addition from SuperSkoda. Its a lovely decal.
