Spacer question

Featured Replies

Hi guys I'm in the middle of buying spacers for my 6Y5 combi. I've had a good deal on the 17x7.5 et44 monte corlo wheels from the fabia III, since there offset is 44 I'm going for atleast 10mm spacers for more clearance. But here comes the tricky part I've found in the broshure from eibach the 10mm spacer per side kit (S90-2-10-034) which does fit the new fabia but isn't listed compatable with the 6Y anywhere also not on other sites. With H&R same story spacers that fit the fabia I and II and another that fits the fabia III. PCD is the same but what is the diffrence between the fabia I and II vs the fabia III hub wise? Since I have no clue what to go for...

And to be clear stock bolts are m14x1,5x27 and new ones should be m14x1,5x37 right? Might seem noobisch question.

For anyone having this question on a later date, someone at H&R explained me that the 45 degree part on the hub is 5mm long and hub itself about 12 on the 6y and on the newer models 7mm long for the angled part and 14 mm long in total. So the angeled part wont have contact with our olders cars if you buy wheels from the newest gen fabia, polo, ibiza or a1. Also the other way around if you have wheels from fabia I or II they wont even fit the III the hub of the wheel needs to be machined down that way.
