I have had my Yeti for about 28 months and covered 28k trouble free miles. I absolutely love the car.... but..... I'm having a new knee joint on a knee which has previously been operated on and need to be able to straighten it fully when being chauffeured during recovery. Unfortunately at 6ft 7in the Yeti doesn't have enough legroom, so it's got to go. Whoever get it when it goes in ( probably September) will get a very high spec'd vehicle.

My second expense is I had bought a new e-bike last year and with a poorly knee I found I nearly fall over when trying to get my leg over (the cross bar!) so have had to change that to a (Dutch style sit up and beg) step through design. This is far easier to get aboard and strengthen my leg muscles pre-op and will help exercising after post-op and recovery.

This is a great forum with a great bunch of people who can answer most questions by return.... I will miss it but I'll keep popping in to keep in touch.

Mrs G had a new knee fitted Last December, worked wonders for her, Good luck and hope every thing works out for you........

Likewise - Bro'-in-Law had similar operation a couple of years ago, which transformed his mobility.

Hope all goes well for you.

Good luck with the surgery.  What will you go for after the Yeti when you are recovered?

I'm sad to say I'm going for a BMW X1.  I can stretch my leg out fully in an X1 but I'd prefer it if the surgeon could shorten my leg a bit so I could keep the Yeti. I was in car sales and had MR2s, Supras, Toyota RAV, Honda Jazzs,  & Civics and then became sales manager at a Volvo dealership....... however I can honestly say the Yeti ticks all the boxes for me (perhaps it's because I'm getting old!) - it's a nicer car than the Tiguan I had before it.

If the X1 is 90% as good as the Skoda, I'll be happy!

Best of luck with your op you know you can checkout the Hotel Briskoda but never leave .;)
