My 230 is well again...............

Good to hear!

And excuse my n00bish ignorance if I've missed the thread, but why / what was the cause of the long list of issues?.. Getting anxious about my 230 now, 1 week before the upgrades go on.

A good few months back when you turned the steering wheel at slow speed there was a horrible grating sound, if you continued to turn the grating stopped. Only did it when the car was been powered forward, not free wheeling and didn't do it in reverse.

Have a read................

AG, great news!

My compliments to the medical team!

AG - Thanks for the link, all briefed up now. The kerbing of the alloy made my eye twitch, but glad it's all ok.

I'll keep that thread on reference in case I hear anything untoward on mine!

Best of luck with it from now on - and at least you have a sunroof in this glorious (/stormy) weather.

AG, Ads has reminded, you get to keep your pano roof rather than try to find another car with one!

Bonus! You can't beat a pano in the summer.

Great news!

I had been following this saga, and thinking that before long you would have a complete new car ;-)

Glad issue is resolved for you.

Pity weather is not looking great for the next few days :-(

silly question - what is the difference between the mechanical diff and the e-diff?

Hooray at last, I've seen it in the doctors a few times. At least it's finally fixed Andy!!

Good news, been following your issue.

Phew, what a relief! Good to hear dude

Yeah, this is absolutely right, but neither is in your car. e-diff is a software thing, an upgrade over existing ABS/ESP system, using brakes to transfer torque between wheels.

What your car has is very complex mechanical differential, but electrically controlled. It doesn't only lock front wheels, but doing real stuff, vectoring torque in between. State of the art technology for FWD car, best you can get Today.

Nice to catch another happy ending. I guess agony will be soon forgotten and you may fully enjoy your new car. :)

good news AG - now you drive the carp out of it :)

Dunno what all the fuss was about! :tongueout::notme:
