Hi All, this is my first ever post on any forum, so please bare with me.

My Wife owns a 2000 1.4cc Fabia Elegance and it has been a really good car for about 7 years.

About a 8 months ago it started doing strange things.

It would remote lock and unlock all day, but left over night, it would not remote unlock the next day.

We had to insert the key into the door and open it manually. ( All the central locking still worked )

This pattern happened for about 2 months. After this time the remote central locking got alot less reliable ( 50 - 50 chance that the remote centrol locking would not work through the day as well, still worked on the key in the door)

Then the car really freaked out. When you lowered and raised the n/s electric door window, the o/s window worked and via versa.

At this point, i logged on to the forum and tried to find if any of you guys had the same fault.

We continued like this until a month ago, when the car locked us out completely and the central locking on the inserted key wouldn't even work. Sometimes the car even wouldn't lock on the key inserted in the lock, well dodgy.

The car would never throw up any fault codes though.

i wasted loads of time trying different things, new keys, recoding modules, parking car in different areas, reprogramming keys, second hand control modules, checking wiring and connectors.

In the end, i bit the bullet and purchased a brand new Convenience Control Module from Skoda, only £210 inc vat. ( A Real Bargain )

It came already programmed for the car and all i had to do was program all the keys for the central locking. I use the Autel Maxsys system to program my cars.

All keys programed first go and touch wood, all is working fine again.
