VRS Replacement Exhaust Costs

Featured Replies

Well after nearly 12 years and 110k it's looking like I may need a new center section and back box.

Given the age of my much loved car, I'm dubious spending a fortune on it.

How much am I looking to spend on a replacement? Not bothered about 'upgrades' at this point more just keeping it on the road.

Edit - If anyone has any independent garage recommendations in the Cheshire / North West area it'd be appreciated.

Try and get a bosal system, there are cheaper aftermarket options out there but the fitments usually a bit off so can knock and bang. Bosal usually fits like oem but costs half the price.

Perfect thanks for the info. Presume it's a pain to do on a set of ramps / jack stands?

Depends how stuborn it is. Last one I did on ramps was an omega and it took me about an hour to do and that went pretty well, on a ramp it takes no time at all.

WD40 onthe exhaust hanging  rubbers to let the hangers slide out helps a lot.
