HTH anyone considering the springs or springs/dampers.

J.

What set-up is that springs or springs and dampers?

:)

Also, it will drop a touch more as they settle.

I used to hate the std wheels, but now I have Eibachs they look good!

Hey Dudes,

Does the Eibachs just drop it by 25mm ???? , I was thinking wacking some on my Tdi Fabia ????? , what ya reckon ????????.

There is a set of springs on Ebay for about £100 IIRC.

My vote for Eibach springs & dampers. I had them fitted not too long ago and ever since the car has been fantastic.

How does it react to speed humps?

My main concern is ride quality as with all lowered springs I've fitted it tends to get crashy over pot holes and small speed humps (with the exception of a set of Apex springs I had on a mk2 Golf GTI about 12 years ago!), even the expensive Konis I had on my mk4 Golf crashed over certain small potholes and not very big speed humps giving the 'upmarket' Golf a very downmarket feel at times. Hence why I will probably keep my Fabia standard - UNLESS you can convince me otherwise........!!!!

Sixdegrees: Springs and dampers

Tom_vrs: Fitted on 25th January so unlikely to drop further, this was the first day I remembered to photograph it and host the piccies.

Jonny Boy: Drives fine, maybe very slightly firmer than before, maybe a little more noise. Overall, it's much tauter and athletic feeling and the car doesn't pitch awfully under braking like it did prior to the Eibachs. The car wasn't exactly brilliant over speed humps as standard. Also, the rear end feels more planted than it used to. I don't think it's perfect but the hairs on the back of my neck have lain flat since I had the suspension done.

they make your car dirty too :)

Have to say that i had both springs and dampers fitted saturday at jabba (as wellas a rear ARB)

The ride has improved sooooooo much, i feel very little roll when taking corners.

I have loads of speed humps around where i live and i am pleased to report that although the ride is slightly stiffer, the car has no issues with humps.

The car feels more responsive and the reaction is instant. If your thinking of upgrading, dont. Just do it, you'll be amazed at the difference.

On the TDI, the Eibachs drop it in the region of 40mm (the vRS already sits 15mm lower as standard IIRC). Ran springs and dampers on mine and they transformed the handling of the car without affecting the ride quality. Highly recommended :D
