Alarm Sensor deactivation

Featured Replies

I'm currently driving a LH drive L and K Superb Mk. III in France. The manual clearly shows a deactivation button for the alarm on the B Pillar (same as was there on my old UK Superb Mark II) but the button simply isn't there. I've checked both driver and passenger sides, just in case, and also asked the dealer, without success. The car has KESSY and I'm due to take a long ferry crossing very soon. Any ideas about how to deactivate the motion sensor without leaving the car unlocked would be greatly appreciated.

Tap the door handle twice in succession when locking to disable the motion sensors (and deadlocks) or press the key fob lock button twice. The normally flashing red LED on the upper front of the driver's door should stop flashing.

Probably as BillyJim says above for Skoda's, but on the MY18 VW's the button has been removed from the B pillar, the deactivation is done from the main info screen (as is the headlight adjustment for halogens).

Interesting. It may be the same now on the MY18 Superb if there's no B-pillar switch.

I wouldn't rely too heavily on the owner's manual as they often struggle to keep pace with the updates.
