Rear wiper constant squeak

Yes. I park on the street. Dew collects on the car, dust settles creating spots. Sun shines on the spots, obscuring vision. Rear window wash and wiper sorts me out.

Jealous!!!

Oh man, that rear wiper on the estate absolutely kills me. Car is less than 4 months old. Do a lot of motorway driving. Every couple of minutes there is that hideous, unnecessary scraping from the back.....does my head in. Will order that Bosch wiper as it doesn't seem that it's possible to disable the pointless rear wipe via OBD11.

Do you have the wipers set to operate automatically? If so, disable them.

Also:

Automatic rear wiper

If the windscreen wiping is performed without interruption, then the automatic

regular intermittent wiping of the rear window takes place.

This function can be activated / deactivated in the Infotainment menu Car

Settings → Mirrors and wipers.

Any help?

In my previous VW Passat B8 Estate, this function just enabled the rear wiper to activate when you engaged Reverse Gear...

Similar on a Mondeo too...

Not having owned a Superb Estate, I find it quite odd what you say.

But if that is how Škoda have adapted this feature, then far enough...

Thanks - I did try that. Thing is, auto wipers are useful, especially with the amount of  motorway driving I do. It just doesn't seem to be possible to have auto wipers for the front enabled without the inevitable screech of the rear wiper every few minutes.....I'll buy that Bosch wiper and see if it helps.
