Sportline tyres - need input please

Featured Replies

Hey folks, could anyone let me know what sort of mileage I can expect out of my stock Pirelli P7 tyres? I do not drive too harshly.

Am I right in assuming they're pretty good in terms of wear (i.e. will last a fair while) - Has anyone worn a set out yet? (I'm talking normal, even wear, not any of this weird inside edge only craziness)

Although I've only done less than 8k miles on them so far so I'm in no position to change them yet, but after the recent 'Beast from the East' I'm less than impressed with the cold/wet performance so will be choosing something different when I do come to change them, probably an all-season type.

I got down to 4mm on the fronts within 14k. The rears still had 5.5-6mm at this point.

I then changed them to Vredestein Quatrac 5 all-seasons. Fantastic in the recent snow and generally better in every respect to the stock Pirelli’s

For R19 you’ll struggle to find many other all-season tyres. I could only find the Vredestein and Maxxis AP2’s. Would have like to have tried the Michelin CrossClimate + or GY Vector 4 Season 2’s

Happy with the Vredesteins though.

Great, thanks. That’s good to know.

Yes they’re the only two all-season tyres I’ve been able to find too.

Looks like I’ll be going for the Vredesteins when the time comes then.

Cheers
