S8 texts recieved are not on the phone

Featured Replies

I have noticed something strange. I have a new Samsung S8 replacing a Moto G.

I also have a Windows Lumia 930 (which is the best phone ever, although I know I am in a minority).

When the S8 is connected to the car (Superb 2010 /Columbus), and I get a text, and I read it in the car, the text is then not available/stored in the phone itself.

I did not have this very annoying "feature" with either the Moto G or the Lumia.

Do I need to set something on the phone? Is it just me?

Any info gratefully recieved.

They end up on the SIM. Can be found by going into settings for the message app and then you can copy to phone. You can also copy to the phone from tbe head unit but I find this hit and miss with my S7.

Assuming the car worked with the Windows Lumia 930, you can probably change the bluetooth profile in the car from premium to hands free.

You'll lose the text functionally on the headunit/car but the messages should be where you expect :)
