Direct download links for ECE 2018 maps

Featured Replies

Great work as always sharing this with us! Will download the Columbus one later

Downloading the Columbus - will update when it is installed.

Interesting when you go to the Skoda update portal, the UK version says "November", the Germans get more information - week 45, which is next week. So if you want to download from Skoda itself you should only have a couple of days to wait.

Good work Aki.

Downloaded the MIB1 Amundsen and installed - works great.

Thanks aki78 :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

The MIB1 Columbus version downloaded and installed with no problem. Some newish roads annoyingly still absent, maybe next time....

Updated the Amundsen MIB1  one thing I noticed within the ECE 2017 version is if you click on markets, eu, map, map regions it shows 213 items but on the ECE 2018 it shows 161 items? I'm wondering why so many in the 2017 version & why so less now in the 2018 version?

Anyone maybe know why?

All good on my MIB1 Columbus. Had a scary moment where it told me to insert valid navigation media a few times! Must have been the last bit of the update.

Thanks again @aki78

I noticed that a week or so ago the update portal was saying next update in November, today it's saying update in May 2018 but the version available (from the portal) is still the May 2017 version

This is the hungarian version at the moment.

They always mess up the dates right before the new version comes out. I wonder why?

This happens every time but I guess the website message is just based on the date & changes automatically and has nothing to do with when the actual files are available.

Usually the Skoda version is released 1 or 2 months after the VW one even though they are essentially the same data so perhaps the end of the Nov/Dec we might see the Skoda official verison.

updated my MIB2 Columbus and all seems OK

It seems that MIB2 Amundsen data has been uploaded to the Skoda server. :)

Download link for EU1

Download link for EU2

As before, EU is divided into 2 parts. Probably as in the picture.

Untested, somebody pls. confirm that it works.

Tried the link today and confirm it works, downloaded the ZIP file, unpacked it and copied the maps folder onto my SD card. So far everything seems to be working with the SD card back in the car.

Top work Aki

All working fine on my MIB2 Amundsen. Great work, particularly as the Skoda Update portal is still not showing the updated link!

Thank you guys for the feedback.

Hi guys,

Do you think that maps linked in the first post for MIB1/MIB2 Columbus can be used on Kodiaq as well?

Greetings from Hungary.

FGD

I did it too, but wasn't easy for me. Thanks Aki78 or would say "köszi szépen haver"!

Not sure, as the current maps for Kodiaq Columbus are listed as:

http://infotainment-cdn.skoda-auto.com/base/maps/HIGH12_P161_EU.zip

so look to be a different generation of maps

Hm, this is the 2017/2018 d/l link for O3 Columbus as well, as someone posted here.

So probably the maps are the same for the Octavia and Kodiaq...

I also found a working Skoda d/l link by increasing the version number and adding 2018 at the end: http://infotainment-cdn.skoda-auto.com/base/maps/HIGH12_P166_EU_2018.zip

There's some size difference between this (25.0 GB) and the VW (24.3 GB) maps in post #1. I guess they are the same inside, probably it's just different file compression.

Well,  http://infotainment-cdn.skoda-auto.com/base/maps/HIGH12_P166_EU_2018.zip seemed to work fine on the Kodiaq with Columbus. If Skoda release something different I'll upgrade again :)

I can confirm that both downloads are exactly the same when unzipped

What a surprise!

Skoda update portal for my vehicle offers ECE 2017/2018. My Columbus tells me ECE 2017/2018 is installed. I only assume the dealer did the update at PDI as the car was in the UK before the end of October.
