Sportline Spec Ire

Though the Skoda Ire website currently states that the EcoGrant is available on all orders before 30th Nov, a dealer has informed me that sportline will not be available with EcoGrant after the 24th Nov.

So, it looks like, as of 24th Nov, the EcoGrant offer will expire, replaced by the Vega/sunroof offer (& €250 price increase) ?

Is the sunroof and Vega’s going to be a spec change on the Sportline or just available for scrappage deals?

dubincalling received the information on the Vega/sunroof bundled offer from a dealer.

I separately received notification via emails from 2 dealers that the EcoGrant offer is ending this week (without being notified of the upcoming Vega/sunroof offer).

I can't definitively answer your question, but imagine that it is just the end of one special offer, and the start of an alternative offer, rather than an Ire sportline spec change.

End of year offers cropping up across many brands & models at the moment, in a bid to generate 181 sales & compete with UK imports, as summarised here...

I had a chat with the dealer and he confirmed it’s a special package for 250 euro premium to add sunroof and the vega’s. I asked could I add it to my order and he doesn’t need think so but will find out. In fairness those extras would bring the spec above anything else on the market at similar money

Question, can a dealer cancel my original order and place a new order for the new spec car? Would it cause a world of trouble for him to cancel it at this stage or is it even possible, my car is due to be build in three or four weeks?

My understanding is if the build is not “frozen” then should be able to amend spec.  If frozen, then option is to cancel and have it resubmitted but very likely a new build week will be further out.

Having said that, I was speaking with my own dealer earlier today and car is showing as frozen for build week 49 - he is to see if they will add in City Assist at this stage......  not too worried either way but would be nice.  Will let you know how flexible “frozen” if at all.....

What car are you ordering? The dealer got back to say if he cancels then it will push out my delivery but I only placed the original order just over three weeks ago so that’s not an issue. I notice the Sportline is completely gone off the configurator now too

Octavia 2.0D/DSG Sportline (spec list is posted earlier in this thread topic in case copy didn’t work ). Placed order on 1 Nov and with BW49 should have it mid Jan or so. Prefer to have the car sooner than change the BW at this point. Always hated the wait period but that’s what happens when you add options....  :D

Wow that’s a really nice spec, your not leaving many boxes unticked there as the Sportline spec is very comprehensive already, say it will be a lovely machine

Although had to stop ticking the boxes at some point.  When I bought my 2011 Octavia I had similar “issues” with box ticking.  Looking back, I built a Sportline before Skoda thought of it.

its a 2.0D/DSG Elegance with some extras:

Upgrades:

Xenon headlights

Dynamic Two Tone sports interior (black / beige)

Sports Seats (Grey trim)

Heated Seats (front)

17" Alloys

Sports Suspension

MFSW w/Paddle Shift

Alarm

Heated / Folding wing mirrors (puddle lights)

Heated washer nozzles

TCS / ESP (Traction Control)

Auto Lights (including Coming Home / Leaving)

Auto Wipers

Rear Parcel Shelf Storage

Door Sill Trim

Chrome Exhaust Pipes

In the UK I worked out you can buy an executive sel and add the options to make it the same as an l&k for less than buying the l&k!!!! Well on the 280 version anyway.
