Which Wheels?

Featured Replies

Hi

Need some advice. I am about to order a new Citigo SE L  (to replace current one), and to take advantage of the deals around before the new year. I am tempted to spec the Serpens 16 inch alloys because I like the look of them. Does anyone know how they will affect the ride? Austerity roads are the worst i've ever seen and i don't want to turn the car into a spine-breaker. Should I just get DAB radio instead?

I couldn’t see It affecting the ride too much and for the extra styling I’d say it would be worth it

Thanks Jonny, but that's the issue. Nice looks, but my current Elegance is choppy enough on 15ins and the roads here are not good. Does anyone out there have experience of the ride quality with 16s (maybe an after market upgrade), vs 15s?

Hi, how did you decide finally? I would like to also buy Serpens wheels. Is it noticably better ride quality compare to 165/70 R14 wheelset?

hi Danciwo

In the end i stayed with the standard wheels which were r15, rather than the r14s on my last Citigo. I spent the extra on options. Dynamic trim looks very good for the money; better upholstery, sport steering wheel, gloss dash and privacy glass for only £150 as i remember. Couldn't risk r16s on English roads.

Agree the Dynamic Trim is good value, what sort of lead time have you been given for the order?.
