DLR - Daytime running lights

Featured Replies

Hi, I have a 2016 Skoda Superb 2.0Tdi SE Business Estate.

I was wondering how you go about changing the DLR - Daytime running lights as I have had a look at the head light cluster and there is no access to the back of the DLR blubs.

I have had look in the manual it shows access points for the Indicator,  Main beam, Full beam but there's nothing for the DLR blubs.

If one of the DLR bulbs blows would this be an MOT failure?

The DLR is not in the fog light cluster like on the MK2, I have attached a photo of the light cluster on the MK3.

It’s a terrible design and the standard (yellow) bulbs seem to be stock from several decades ago. I didn’t like the idea of a dealer visit and/or removing the bumper to change a bulb so I did the following... click the reply from SJCSE:

It seems like a lot of work, but is actually quite quick and looks factory if you buy a couple of rubber caps… indicator/dipped/full caps fit perfectly. I’m sure it will invalidate any warranty though. I’m using the following bulbs and if they don’t pass an MOT it’s now easy to swap them:
