Just wondering if anyone can help me with my DSG problem, in my 2008 Skoda octawia

1.9tdi BXE engine.

  I bought it wit the DSG Mechatronic unit problem, and thinking about to change for whole new/used gearbox, and my question is if any DSG gearbox from the car with BXE engine code would fits?

I think that pretty much any 6 speed DSG box will fit. There are plenty of places that can recon the mechatronics these days, check these guys out, maybe worth an email http://www.evosoft.dk/tech.html

The problem is the Mechatronic has been already sent for recon and has been damaged in postage, the guy who worked on it agreed to pay the costs, not sure if the old mechanik would be suitable for recon, photos attached.

I see what you mean. Certainly worth contacting the guy in the link I posted, as it does say he can supply some full units, or he may even be able to advise on if that is repairable. It looks  like it's jus the plastics that are broken, although would require a complete test sequence to see if there is any wiring faults

I sent them an email, been looking through the Ebay there’s quite few Gearbox’s on it, and the prices are from £300-1200, 

just don’t want to risk it if I’m not sure if it’s going to work with all electrics.

I found one with the matching engine code BXE but the GB code is HQN different to main TFK is this going to be a problem?

I would assume that whilst the gearbox may appear identical there is likely to be differently ratio' d gears depending on the engine it is fitted to, I.e. 1.9, TD VRS or TSI VRS etc.

Sorry the TFK Numer is for the Mechatronic unit.
