Samsung s8 connection to columbus

Featured Replies

Should I be able to connect my samsung s8 to the standard columbus system on my 2011 superb to enable hands-free phone calls.

Thanks in advance-for any advice.

You should be able to, but just remember you're not connecting it to the Columbus. You're going to be connecting it to the Bluetooth module which will be fitted under the drivers seat, and the Columbus just displays the connection data and interface. If you have Bluetooth fitted (and I think Elegance spec should have) then you should be okay, search from your phone for the Skoda Bluetooth kit maybe, or look in the Maxidot menu (if you have it) for phone connections.

I recently swapped my iPhone 6 for a Samsung Galaxy S8. I'm getting a much smoother experience in using the Galaxy in my Mark 2 Superb than ever I got from the iPhone. Setting it up was easy and the results are impressive. You shouldn't have any problems if my S8 experience is any guide.

Motorola z2 play (still android) connected fine.

no ok google operation through Columbus though but that's googles fault and you will find the same.

9please confirm)

Motorola does allow replies to texts through the Columbus (by voice) so that's better than most phones (apart from windows phones which worked flawlessly)
