Is it possible to install ambience lighting (such as the Kodiaq or Octavia) in the Fabia mkIII?

Featured Replies

Hello all,

I'm trying to figure out whether it would be possible to adapt the Kodiaq ambience light system (or anything similar) into the Fabia, and even control it through the screen too. I've been researching with no results up to now. Is this feasible? Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I don't think so. But you can fit (with a bit of bodging) the 'W8' light mod, which adds backlighting to the buttons on the dome light and two downlighters.

I did it, it's relatively easy. It dims with the regular backlighting.

You need the Skoda part from certain Mk.1 Superbs, I bought mine off AliExpress. Here's a previous thread on the subject.

You need to mod the housing for the plug connector to clear the sunglasses holder unless you have a panoramic roof

Shame then. That mod looks good, but I'll put this on hold but now. Thank you all!

It's super easy to adjust the unit to fit. The main issue is finding a Skoda one not a VW one!

I have a Skoda one that I will get fitted probably at some point

Just need to mod the holder
