i have to agree with you. 12 weeks is very optimistic. Ordered 19th jan. supposed to being built this week. Week 16. So 13 weeks from order. So even if built this week it will be approaching 20 weeks before delivery  so don,t count chickens!!!!

mine is 1.5 sel  with heated screen and nozzles, and worst thing is that neither dealer nor Skoda can give any reason why!!!!

REALLY?????

I ordered mine on 25 Jan and am collecting it tomorrow.  B)

Pretty good. Pleased for you.  12 weeks from order to delivery. I naively accepted that from the Business Manager when I signed the PCH but then Skoda UK stated that it has always been 16 weeks so who do you believe and I suspect there are more that are being delivered >12 weeks rather than <12 weeks.

Ordered Karoq Edition (1.5 DSG, Quartz Grey, Beige Interior, with a couple of small extras) on 20th Feb

Unconfirmed BW: 19 (7th May)

Be sad to see my Octavia vRS go, so don't mind the wait I suppose!

Well I think I've been extremely fortunate and lucky.

I have read about severral members who ordered before me and are still at an early stage, I often wonder why Skoda treat 'valued customers' like that.   If they treated my like others have been treated I would certainly not be very happy.

I pray that you, as well as the many others, get their vehicles soon.

Glosjanner, have you had any discussions with them over compensation for the delay? Especially the increased costs of the PCH due to delivery now falling into the new first year VED rules? I also have a PCH with Skoda and was quoted 12 weeks (ordered 9th Jan, still not delivered). I've had no joy and wondered how others have fared if on PCH contract?

Well I have checked with Live Chat and my Unconfirmed BW has slipped again and is now at 21. From an original 16 I am to put it mildly disappointed.

I bet you are.  :crying:

Thats a VERY BIG SLIP indeed.

Are you going to stick with it or look elsewhere?

After speaking with LiveChat it is now going to be looked at by one of their case managers. So in fairness to them I will await their review.

I hope its resolved to your satisfaction, and that the wait is short.

Well, I do fear my brief venture into Skoda could be coming to an end following my chat with Skoda UK today.

No budging on goodwill, might even be a May delivery, but still no firming up on that. Jan 13th order as previously mentioned. Going to try chat with the dealer tomorrow. As have said all along don’t want to throw toys out the pram  for the sake of principles, so going to cool off (in this heat!).

I have to say - of all the cars I’ve bought, this has been the least pleasant buying experience. Renault, Honda, Mercedes (x2) and Audi (x2) never had any hassles.

Sorry another negative post :(

Same here, ordered Jan 12th, built week 8. Had my update call today and its still at the German port over a week later.

I thought things were finally starting to move along.

Mine will definitely be into May for delivery, well, maybe June at this rate!

If the Karoq didnt fit all my needs so well I would have cancelled by now, my contract allows me to.

It fits our needs as well, certainly an element in my sticking with it for now.

It’s a shame to get to this point. Need to look at other options. Might just be a case of holding on and seeing what is out there and cancelling when we’ve decided.

Although I am still not happy about the length of time it took to get my Karoq from the factory to the dealer the frustration has been out-weighed by the relief of finally looking forward to picking it up on Monday. I know that some other manufacturers have long waiting lists for their popular models, so cancelling your Karoq order may just result in you joining the back of another queue.. When you hear about falling car sales it makes you wonder why the customer is left dangling for months. It’s almost like the bad old days when you had to wait months to get a phone in your home.

Agree with what you’re saying and very much been patient. Frustration has just reached a point now.

Going to review options tonight, speak to the dealer tomorrow and go from there.

I'd hang on in.

If you cancel dealer won't care, they'll sell your order anyway.

This leaves you either buying used, dealer stock or ordering a new car which will mean a longer wait.

Saying that I can completely understand your frustration.....

Sensible side of me is very much with you.

Mrs wants to cancel. Her car ultimately but I think she’s just upset. I need to see how tomorrow plays out.

If the rumoured charger issue adds to the delay then we’re almost certainly out.

TheRoq and sexdrugs I feel for you, I picked mine up yesterday after all that we went through with seatgate, mine took over a week in Germany and another week in the UK port, so hopefully not long for you now just stick in with it.

I agree.

Also maybe take a crumb of comfort from the fact that this appears to be a very popular car. We will be/are the owners of a sought after, maybe over-subscribed vehicle.

Glosjanner/sexdrugskaroqnroll.  I’m feeling exactly the same as you 2 gents.  Build week 11 slipped to 16 with no explanation.confirmed build week 16.  Is this week but no news as yet. Will be contacting Skoda chat line tomorrow re progress. Ha ha ha. If none, then time for serious thought. Have been on internet searching used karoq. Have spotted same model as I ordered. With better spec at 2,500 pounds less than my order costs with only double figure mileage .Would lose Skoda incentive but it is built and in the uk.

i agree.   Go with Skoda again. Absolutely no chance!!,,,,,,

I spent a week looking for my Karoq and bought an ex-wife demo, 2 months old with major savings. Gave a deposit on a Saturday and picked the car up the following Friday.

Got our first Yeti that way. Our only requirement was DSG. Were prepared for a six month wait but the salesman said he'd got a 2 month only DSG demo car round the back. We had it the week after.

Just a bit of a moan post really. I've just had a very unsatisfactory live chat with Skoda, in which they stated it can take 10 days (two weeks) for the car to get to the dealer after being dispatched from the port! Mine has not been dispatched yet.... Then someone from Skoda Customer Services rang me to say they hope the car will be in the UK next week! I informed him it was already in the UK and waiting to be dispatched. He then said they hope it will be with the dealer early next week, when asked he got that information, he said from the dealer. Well we all hope it will be there early next week! Customer service guy sounds totally disinterested and had no new information to give. I explained an update gives new information, so him calling me with an "update" with out of date information and 'hope' was pretty pointless.

Its not the extra months wait, the extra VED caused by the car being late (well a bit!) but the general can't be arsed, "you're lucky we are letting you have one of our cars" attitude that is ****ing me off. How hard is it to put a car on a transporter and say it'll be there tomorrow? God they've managed to annoy me now.

I really feel for you guys, my dealer couldn't have been more helpful, emailed me a few times telling me the build date was still on track, when it had arrived in the UK and when it got to the dealer, they even had to hold onto it for me as I was waiting for my lease to finish !!

Luckypants - completely empathise with the frustration!

I just had a quick chat with our dealer.  He's been looking at the logs and actually just said he thinks it will be here by the end of the month.  I've held off cancellation on that basis.  He did reiterate what I already knew (from this forum mainly) that the 1.5 has had the deposit contribution dropped to £650 because of the popularity and lack of availability.

Have put across that our part ex is due tax/mot/service/insurance in the coming weeks and said he'd lend us a car if it got to that, but hopes it won't.

Also, he will put a note on the pre delivery inspection to apply the fix to the phone box charger.  Apparently one has been issued and it is being dealt with at the factory, but a recall is expected for those cars sold and delivered.

Will see what the young lady has to say about all that.  It's a shame, because I think I may have been able to persuade her to buy a Jag XE instead as their finance options look pretty good and I would have much preferred a sporty little saloon to the SUV!! :p Must remember, her car not mine, her car not mine (repeat repeat repeat)

If they did an estate, it would have been on my list! An XE parks next to me at work, it looks pretty nice. As it is the Karoq ticked all the boxes and SWMBO likes it. An added bonus was getting 4x4 for when we need it around here and SWMBO's place of work. Before the increased VED, the lease was reasonable (still not bad) but that added £17 pcm to the lease cost.
