Thanks for that. Once Skoda UK can confirm it’s on it’s way, I will ask them for the name of the ship then track it! As I live on the Wirral, Grimsby would be the logical port to deliver it to as it’s motorway most of the way from there to the dealer in Liverpool!

1.5 SEL DSG Candy white, towbar, leather, light assistant, spare wheel, ACC and Traffic Assist

Mine is identical apart from the seats and mine has heated windscreen. Ordered early March and hopefully on the Danube Highway that arrived 3 hours late at Sheerness yesterday. Its great to be able to track its every movement!

I am retired and keep my car in the garage so the heated screen is of limited use. I'm not too keen on looking through the wires....I had a heated screen on  a Ford

I'm getting misty screens already, I think fords were the only cars with heated screens back in the day. But is an option i have selected.

I believe that the VW group windscreens use a better system so its much more difficult to see the elements. Its a must have option if you don't have the luxury of a garage.

I see the Wester Highway is about to leave Emden for Grimsby as well so you will have 2 ships in 2 days. I hope they have space on the docks!

I ordered mine on 24th August and on 29th the dealer rang me up to say the rate had changed and as my order hadn't gone in he could apply the 1500 discounts as I think it was 600 before.

Yay! Just chatted with Skoda UK and my Karoq is due into the UK week 43/44. Not too long a wait since placing my order on 1st August 2018.

That's my unconfirmed build date so I guess I'm looking at mid November. Wonder how often they ship to UK per month

Looks like our cars will be on the same boat!

Sure looks that way! The Skoda Chat lady said that she'll be able to give me the ship name and date of sailing closer to that time.

For those that need to know “Necker Highway” is just entering the Humber.

Running a few hours late!

After being told on Tuesday that the car was in the UK, the dealer called yesterday (Thursday) to say that it had arrived with them that morning and would be ready to collect on Monday.  As I have asked for a couple of extras to be fitted, collection is now arranged for Wednesday.  The salesman was really surprised that the car turned up so quickly.  He reckoned 2 weeks from the factory (possibly the airfield) to the dealer in Kings Lynn.  It looks like deliveries are coming through quickly - possibly because there are still some VAG models that cannot be registered so there is more capacity in the distribution system to handle those cars that can be registered.  I got the impression that several cars had arrived.  There was no pressure to register it in September.

Yeah a mate bought his Octavia from Lawrie’s last year and the first thing he did was to go down the road to Liverpool Costco to fill up!! Is the WK in your name short for West Kirby?!

It’s Dave W Kin...,surname. Not far from West Kirby though. I’m in Moreton.

Decided on Liverpool dealer rather than Mitchell’s Ellesmere Port. No particular reason. It’s half the distance but there is the (Wirral tax) tunnel toll.

Johnson/ Lawrie dealership turned out to be first class.

Costco diesel is £1.29.7 litre.

Just went by BP on A56, it’s £1.37.

Friends in Florida paying 50p a litre for petrol, and they’re complaining.

50p a litre!!! Wish we could get it that cheap!! After test drives at Mitchell’s I too decided on Lawrie’s cos it’s closer to Woodchurch than EP so we are only a short drive from each other!!

Was actually only 48 p a litre when we were visiting in May. Exchange rate dropped since then so it’s reached extortionate levels. (They believe).

Wow! That IS good news and it sounds as if things are finally moving. I hope that’s the case with my order.

Hi Neilsam. The simple answer is that is the reason for this forum to have reached 63 pages! This year has been difficult for Skoda, the dealers and most of all the customers who want to own this wonderful car. I believed deliveries were coming through now that WTLP certification had been issued for most Karoq. I am surprised you have such a long delivery

Very odd! I ordered same spec car on 10th July, collected it on 21st September. Very pleased with it. Love the high up view, smooth auto gearbox, easy access (with my  old knees).

By the way, advert below reminded me. If your due for an MoT, Halfords are doing it for free if you buy anything from their shop.

I bought adhesive wheely bin numbers.

MoT voucher by email a couple of days later.
