My order details:

Karoq SE Technology TDI 1.6 DSG

Ordered at start of June

Built w/c 6th August

Contacted Skoda on 21st August who inform me that my car is at Grimsby (that was quick!)

Contacted dealer who said that he expects to have the car before the end of month - in Northern Ireland!

I suspect that they've rushed my delivery in order that the car is registered before the end of the month, and more importantly before the new emission standards apply.

Dealer Update 2 - Order placed 02/06/18

Just got off the phone with my dealer at Allam's of Epsom.

I ordered a SE L 1.5 Petrol DSG with a few extras which included the 19" Crater alloys and was informed that they are, sadly, no longer available due to WLTP.

I swapped them out for the 18" Myticas alloys and the Canton sound system. I've signed the new paperwork and have been promised a build week very soon as they were ready to accept my order before running into the issue.

My original ETA was December but my dealer seems optimistic about it arriving sooner, how much sooner I don't know.

I'll keep you posted.

As far as we can tell, all cars built after the summer break are MY19.  You should be able to tell whether yours is if Adblue is needed.  That was the change to that engine for MY19.

Another post showed a diagram which indicated that 1.6 diesel and 1,0 petrol engined variants would be produced for the first few weeks of MY19 production.  The other factor is that diesel engines are less in demand following the emissions issue but production capability has not yet fully adjusted.

Good for you that your car has arrived so promptly.  Enjoy.

And update/recap on mine.

Karoq SE Technology TDI 1.6 DSG ordered very end of July.

Build week is now week 38 (end of September) with delivery looking like mid October.

Hi, details of my order:

Car ordered:  Petrol Blue 2-0 TDI 4x4 Manual Edition with extras of personalisation of driver mode selection ( a cheap way to get a third key!); a spare wheel and protection pack.

Placed order 28th July, dealer placed the order 31st July and confirmed by the factory 31st July

1st update 11th August through Skoda Live Chat - unconfirmed build week 42  week commencing 15th October

2nd update 14th August  through dealer (when the person I am dealing with was back from holiday) -  unconfirmed build week brought forward to week 39, week commencing 24th September

3rd update today, 28th August through Skoda Live Chat, unconfirmed build week 40, week commencing 1st October

When I placed the order the dealer indicated a mid December delivery!

it will be interesting when the confirmed build week is!

Ordered 1.5 SE L DSG  in Business Grey with heated windscreen, space saver wheel plus Isofix on front seat on  22nd July.

Currently an unconfirmed slot for build week 37.  Time is starting to drag a bit now.

Hi GarryH3

7 weeks to build date ! Wow lucky you. Most of us have waited 3 times longer than that and still don't know if there car is built !!

Yeah, things seem to have started moving again following the factory shutdown.

Still a bit concerned that there could be further delays due to the emissions testing.

There is an interesting link here https://www.adac.de/infotestrat/umwelt-und-innovation/abgas/modelle_mit_euro_6d_temp/default.aspx which I saw on an Ateca forum.

I can't understand the German but it would appear to be a list of vehicles that have been WLTP tested which includes Karoq with 1.0 petrol and 1.6 diesel only.  From the posts on the forum, these seem to be the only 68 plate vehicles with delivery dates so far.  Anyone with better than my non-existent German may be able to learn more from this list.

Google translate says:

If you want to continue to drive into urban low-emission zones, where new driving bans threaten, should opt for an alternative to
diesel or wait with the purchase of a diesel, until vehicles with the new emission standard Euro 6d TEMP or Euro 6d are available.
Who plans no entry into environmental zones, in which it could come to new driving restrictions, must fear no restrictions.
For a diesel still speaks in comparison to the petrol engine lower fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.

The following table gives an overview of the first passenger car models (Source: ADAC Autokatalog).
The ADAC will continue to expand this positive list for Euro 6d TEMP and Euro 6d respectively.

Note: This list does not contain any advance notice of models from the manufacturers, only models that can already be ordered.

Seems to refer to emission control zones. Incidentally just received an email from my dealer at Liverpool.
Karoq 1.6td SE-L dsg ordered 10th July is now at a German port awaiting shipment to UK.

You're right - its a list of vehicles that has been tested to meet the WLTP at  Euro 6 "d" and Euro 6  "d TEMP" level.  This means they should be compliant in any "urban low emissions zones".  The list contains only cars that can be ordered (i.e. the full emissions results are known and they comply to Euro 6d).

ADAC (Kind of like the RAC or the AA) says they will expand the list as more cars are tested and certified as complying.  Our German car driving buddies who may be shelling out for a new car are watching the Euro 6d carefully - there's talk of quite a few German "urban low emissions zones" that are looking to restrict cars that don't meet it. You'd want to get a Euro 6d one if you have to drive through them.

The list is not really just "WLTP" tested - these cars are WTLP (meaning Euro 6 "c") and also RDE   -"Real Driving Emissions" - tested (meaning they have been brought to Euro 6 "d").

For "Otto" just read "petrol".

  Skoda Citigo 1.0 MPI Otto 999 44 Euro 6d TEMP Jul. 18
  Skoda Citigo 1.0 MPI Otto 999 55 Euro 6d TEMP Jul. 18

My SEL 1.6 TDI is being built now (was confirmed as last week) - told it can take 2 weeks to build, then will be transported to Emden where it will be shipped to Grimsby.

Ordered 7th August, was an untagged car already in the system.

I've had a couple of issues with the dealer, thus the executive office is keeping me updated on a weekly basis, and have said once it reaches the port they will request priority shipping, then once in the UK will request priority delivery to the dealer.

On the move. ETA Grimsby 1800hrs, 31st August.

Looks like the VAG Group are lagging behind on their WTLP certifications, I Googled manufacturers with WTLP certification and it makes some interesting reading, Peugeot and Vauxhall are stating all vehicles are available for sale and all meet WTLP whilst most if not all others have problems, VAG are not doing themselves any favours when it comes to customer satisfaction!!

we ordered our karoq last month and i am having real trouble getting skoda to confirm a date for build, or even a guideline.  Dealer said it would be around Dec for delivery, but on a group i am on, another dealership confirmed that the lead times were as late as march.

Yey! We have a build week! Order placed 2nd of June, build week 39 commencing 24th of September. Estimated Delivery date has been brought forward from Dec to Oct. Getting a bit excited now!

I had/have a build week of 34. Not heard from my dealer with an update but the sales guy said I will update you with any news. To be fair he has updated a couple of times. 1.5 SEL DSG with a few options.

Has anyone received a car since September 1. And if so is it WLTP or pre build?  And the model please

I have gone for a Volvo XC60 T5 Momentum, nearly £40K RRP but cheaper to lease than the Karoq Edition 1.5TSI DSG that I originally wanted.

Can you point me to where you got your XC60 please? I am now considering one as I can't wait anymore on Skoda. I like the XC60 T5 momentum as well

Well am thinking of contacting Motability to see what our options are.
