Delighted with car.  12 miles  on the clock at the dealer).  Have added 140, mostly highway.

Showing average 48mpg. Expect that to improve as it loosens up. I tend to drive for economy, the eco display giving me a score of 82 so far.

Seventh gear at 59mph shows about 1,700 rpm.  ( I keep just ahead of the trucks) = about 35mph per 1000rpm. Thought my Citroen C5 was long legged at 33 mph per 1000 rpm. Fuelled at Costco, Chester and stopped filling when it cut off. Will do the same each fill up in future to prove accurate mpg.

Just tried to activate Skoda Connect and it keeps showing unavailable which is a bit of a bummer.

However it did register  and informed me that it was a renewable 12 month contract. Something like the old Trafficmaster I guess.

I'll be putting the Citroen up for sale if anyone's interested. 2005 hdi 2litre Exclusive. 89,000 miles. I've owned it since December 2007. Cambelt and water pump at 60,000 -the book says do it at 100,000. Oil changes and filter usually at 5,000 miles. MoT till November but I'll get it tested before sale. £1,100.

Pleased you're happy with your car. Have you downloaded the Owners Guide so that you can work out how to activate Skoda Connect? Alternatively you could always pop into Lawrie's/Johnsons and I am sure they'd do it for you.

Trip to Johnson’s/Lawrie seems good idea. Another chance to meet with lovely Ana.

You and the lovely Ana!! I was chatting with her the other day while waiting for Gerry (Motability salesperson) to finish with another customer! They had a black SEL DSG TDI near Gerry's desk with black leather upholstery and I wanted to drive off with it! Hopefully I will soon hear when I can expect delivery of my 1.5 TSI SEL DSG, can't wait to get behind the wheel and drive down to South Wales to visit my daughter and family and put the car through it's paces!

Watch out, annual cost of Skoda Connect is b****y expensive for what it is. I signed up then very soon after cancelled it.

Hi Sigo,

Thanks for the heads-up. Forewarned is forearmed!

Even my dealer advised against it! If you're using the vehicle for business and spend all day driving, then it's a substitute for an internet connected computer or tablet. Otherwise it's an expensive toy! Don't forget the cost of the data SIM is extra too. Enjoy the car though...I have no complaints after taking delivery in early May, been enjoying it on the roads of France for a couple of months now. PS cost of Karoq about 15-20% more expensive here!

I guess at the end of the day, if you don't really need it then it sounds like an expensive luxury. I see that you have the same engine that I have ordered. You should have popped across the channel and bought/ordered one over here to get the 15-20% discount!!

I cant say I've seen a Karoq in South Wales yet. So when ours arrives in November it will be a rare sight until my mother in law's one arrives soon after:D but mine maybe first in Wales with digital dash!

Have only seen a couple up here on the Wirral which seems strange when the dealers are getting so many orders for the Karoq. Mine wont have the digital dash as I placed my order before there was any mention of one.

Sorry should have been clearer...did buy in the UK just been over here with my rhd for a while. Couldn’t help calling into a French dealer just to check!

Don't think it was officially released it appeared on the carwow configurator and the dealer had to send the order to Milton Keynes as didn't appear on his system. I note it was officially released on 21st September.  Plus didn't want same spec as MIL :D

Managed to sign in to Connect. Interesting gadgetry but not much of great interest for me. Don’t think I’d be bothered to renew annual contract.

Useful for me would be the clever trick of locating where I parked the car and getting it to flash lights and beep.

I'm getting there....

My car is on the Neckar Highway due to dock at Grimsby at 16.24 today (28/9/18)

Another 2 weeks?

If same schedule as mine, a week to reach dealer then a few days to pdi before you collect. Went through it with fine tooth comb as they say. Same as if I was buying a used car. Immaculate. About three gallons in the tank too. Dealer was great. Even did the personal plate transfer which can be a bit of a hassle.

Yeah a mate bought his Octavia from Lawrie’s last year and the first thing he did was to go down the road to Liverpool Costco to fill up!! Is the WK in your name short for West Kirby?!

My plate has been on retention for some years so I'm dusting it off for this car

I had my other plate on the Yeti and like this time the dealer asked me to put it on retentsion

The new online DVLA system seems to work quite well though so maybe it is really easy to trade in and swap straight away

So, approximately 4 months. I didn’t order until August 1st so still some time before mine arrives I reckon although it was supposed to have been built last week!

When I ordered my existing Golf 1.5 TSi GT estate, I was able to track it’s progress online, wish I could do the same with my Karoq! I rang Skoda UK earlier in the week after getting the order number off of the dealer and at that time it hadn’t been built so will ring them again next Tuesday.

How did you know which ship it was going to be on?

Not sure they give that info as only at unconfirmed build date at moment.

Ah well, I will have a chat with them again next Tuesday when, hopefully, they will know more.
